Downtown Parkville is quaint and historic with plenty of options on where to eat. But pizza is almost always a winner, and Stone Canyon Pizza sits smack in the middle of downtown, just waiting for you to try. The entrance is right at the pizza counter where the aromas of hot ovens and baking pizza crust grab you in a big hug. When you go around the corner into the dining area, with a small but stocked bar, you have plenty of spots to sit. Sure, pizza is in the name but the menu is sprinkled with other options, any and all being solid choices. I have sampled their Pesto Turkey sandwich, grilled and delicious, as well as their Stone Canyon Club, which is piled high and served toasted. Fabulous stuff! But I come for the pizza, and specifically, the lunch special. For twelve bucks you get a mini-pizza, choice of salad or side, and a drink and believe me, the value is way higher. Stone Canyon is churning out their dough multiple times a day and serves up locally sourced toppings where possible making for a *very* KC pie. I would suggest one of their menu specialties like the Grand Canyon or the Italian Delight and you'll likely be taking some home. Pro tip: get extra sauce, because it has just the right amount of sweetness and tang and that Stone Canyon crust can hold lots of toppings. The service is friendly and local and they are always ready to make a suggestion. Pricing is very fair and the value absolutely outpaces the cost. Parking isn't horrible (there is a huge lot by the waterfront less than 200 yards away) and the ambiance and charm of the small downtown is everpresent. Whether visiting or a Parkville resident, Stone Canyon is a stellar dining choice.

My family has been eating at Stone Canyon since we moved to the area in 2019 - I can't believe I've never reviewed it before. This is one of our favorite dine-in pizza restaurants. The atmosphere at the downtown Parkville location is always so cozy. I'll usually have an iced tea or a beer with my pizza, they offer rotating cocktail specials that are very tempting. Every time I've tried one it has been impressively delicious! Food and service are always outstanding. And you can't deny the charm of downtown Parkville.

First timer at Stone Canyon Pizza and have to say, it's really excellent pizza. We tried the Hawaiian (Canadian Bacon and Pineapple) on thin crust and it was delicious. Our waitress was awesome, and you have to love the homey feel of Stone Canyon. Definitely a treasure in Parkville!

When in parkville this is our go-to after a round of mini golf across the street. It's not the biggest but I've also not seen upper level. The original crust pizza is in between a pan and thin style and really good.

This pizza restaurant was close to where we were staying. The service was good. We were seated quickly and the server kept our drinks filled. The restaurant decor fit the town and was warm and welcoming. We ordered pizza and wings. The sauce on the pizza had a nice taste. I really liked the roasted red peppers. The wing sauce was tangy and just enough spiciness. It is worth a stop.

The food is always fresh and appetizing. One of my top 2 for pizza. The Italian sandwich is great. OK I really like Stone Canyon. Been going there for years. Service is always prompt. The atmosphere in Parkville can be hectic but in Gladstone a lot more laid back for a quieter experience enjoy

There's place is literally five minutes from my house and it's the first time I've been in here. It's in the historic downtown Parkville area. We got seated right away. It was between lunch and dinner so it wasn't too busy at the time. The friendly waitress greeted us right away. I split a berry spinach salad and a Reuben sandwich with my friend. We also both ordered a Bloody Mary. I don't like goat cheese, so we were able to substitute it with feta in the salad. The salad was very fresh and tasty. It came with strawberries, candied, walnuts and roasted chicken with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. This was my first Reuben sandwich I've ever had and it definitely won't be my last. It was very, very good. We got french fries with it. The bloody mary was spot on. Just the right amount of heat. I really don't know why I haven't come here until now. Guaranteed I'll be back.

I visited Stone Canyon Pizza back in 2016 for a dine-in experience and had an average time, but I once again found myself in need of a pizza in the Northland, this time in 2024, and I thought it might be worth the gamble to return and try it again. Afterall, it's a local spot, and reading through my last review I think a lot of my average rating was due to the service we received that night. At any rate, flash forward to today, we were meeting my cousin and her family in the Northland as they were going to babysit for us so we could have a night out. Our daughters are great friends and we figured we'd do a pizza dinner together before my husband and I headed out the door to catch our show. My cousin recommended either Minsky's or Stone Canyon and I really wanted to give Stone Canyon another try - and I'm glad we did! We ordered ahead for carry out to be ready right at five (I know, I know, we are fully embracing the life of having young kiddos!) and I was really impressed when we got there right at five it was coming out of the oven. I often worry when placing online orders for hours ahead of time if it'll actually work and this one was a slam dunk. We got the pizza to my cousin's house and all six people gobbled it up and enjoyed every bite. I can't say there is anything that really sets Stone Canyon apart from its competitors, aside from a charming location in downtown Parkville, but what I can say is that it's a really solid and damn tasty pizza. Their house made ranch was really great as well. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this spot and look forward to visiting them again at some point in the future.

What a cute little area to check out! We came in on Detroit pizza style night. The pizza was absolutely delicious!!! Cute, friendly, clean atmosphere! Will definitely be back for a date night!

I really love the vibe of Stone Canyon Pizza. The service is always great and the food is tasty. Ordered the Hawaiian Pizza...I customized this and loved it. Don't forget the drinks. Love this place .
